With all that aside, you might be wondering who the 5 nursing students are that have created this web site. As mentioned earlier, we attend the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Our junior year of college, in the fall of 2001, we started attending the College of Nursing and Health Professions located in UNCC. Before acceptance into the nursing program we completed 2 years of prerequisite courses including chemistry, anatomy and physiology, english, psychology, abnormal psychology, microbiology, and other basic university courses. Upon completion of these courses we had to recieve a GPA of at least 3.0 to be accepted into the College of Nursing and Health Professions.

Since our start in the College of Nursing and Health Professions in 2002, we have completed courses such as concept and skills in nursing, pharmacology, nutrition, health assessment, nursing professions, adult health 1, obstetrics and women's health, and nursing research, as of April 2002. This web page was created as an assignment for nursing research and proved to be a very interesting and time consuming project with wonderful benefits. We feel as though we have learned so much and sharing our knowledge with you makes it all worthwhile.

In the year 2003, we will graduate with our bachelor of science degree in nursing. We still have to complete classes such as adult health 2, issues and trends in nursing, community nursing, and mental health nursing until that time. We know that the knowledge we have gained and will gain throughout our 4 years of college will help us make clinical decisions that will benefit our patients and their families.

We all love the nursing profession and feel as though we are blessed to be part of such a helping career. It is alot of fun to meet people and know that you have a major impact on their life.
