Help stop puppy mills forever
- I hope you will adopt your next dog from a shelter or rescue. If you must buy a puppy, get him or her directly from the breeder, in person - where you can see the mother in her natural enviroment. That is the only way to ensure that your pet will be healthy and will not add to the suffering of puppy mill dogs.

Never, never buy a dog from a pet shop - this is the only way to stop puppy mills.

Breed and Rescue Links

If you are looking for a small dog, seriously seriously consider getting a rescue. There are thousands available, both purebred and mixes. Visit Petfinder to search by breed.

It is hard to find non-commercial sites with comprehensive information, but here is a page on Animal Hospital USA with a good list of small dog breeds and links to more information.
