I have to confess that I am currently having a very serious problem with wild rats. They have taken up residence in the drain pipes which go underground on each side of my house. They are attracted by chicken food - the chickens live in a carport in front of the house. So I am not currently having very positive thoughts about rats. The problem is compounded by my dog who has taken up the mission of getting the rats, and in the process destroying the drain system. I hope that next time I update this page, the problem will be solved - at the moment, I am afraid I am going to have to remove the chickens - big job and one I don't relish.
